How to Spruce up a Dead Apple
The girls typically eat fresh fruit through out the day. However, there are those times when we buy fruit, like apples, and they just lay and waste. I then have to make apple sauce or some kind of apple topping with the apples so they don't waste.
Well I had some apples that had been laying in the fruit bowl on the table for awhile. And didn't feel like making apple sauce, so here's what I did instead;
4 apples (or how many you have handy)
juice from 1/2 lemon
1 TBSP Agave Nectar (or honey if you have that)
peel, cut and core the apples. slice apples into about 1/2" thick slices. mix sliced apples with lemon juice and Agave Nectar. Toss well and serve.
